Our Story
Founded by Chef Tissany Gilmore, Onyiyechi grew from years of cooking, teaching, and serving across homes, community kitchens, and shared tables. What began as a love for nourishing meals evolved into a mission-driven practice rooted in access, culture, and care.
Chef Tissany’s culinary journey is shaped by classical training and deep respect for cultural foodways—blending African, Southern, French, and global influences with plant-forward, wellness-centered cooking. At the heart of it all is people: their stories, traditions, and everyday needs.
